1715 - Rod Jabin's Ramrod has moved into the lead after the first day of the Rolex Farr 40 Pre-Worlds.  With an impressive first day score of 11 points, the team from Annapolis holds a narrow one point lead over Fred and Steve Howe's Warpath from San Diego, CA.  Results from the first day have been updated here:

1700 - Sled has won Race three!  Roundings from the second Windward Mark have been added to the Roundings sheet.

1640 - Complete Roundings from the first Windward Mark and Gate of Race 3 are now posted:

1635 - Hooligan has lead the fleet around the first two marks of race three.

1615 - The wind has gone much lighter now and the boats are now sailing downwind with the spinnaker poles forward.  The race committee has posted that the course will be shortened to 1.6 nautical miles for the second windward leg.

1600 - The first boats have now rounded the first weather mark and are on their way down the run.

1540 - After two postponements and one general recall, the Race Committee has now started Race 3 under the Z flag.  Six boats were OCS at the start and cleared themselves.  Alinghi, Opus One, Morning Glory, Fiamma, Barking Mad, and Infinity will be scored ZFP.

1505 - The course board has been changed to show a new course bearing of 125 degrees.  The new warning signal is scheduled for 1515.

1500 - Right before the start of Race #3, a big wind shift came through that had the whole fleet looking to start at the pin end.  PRO Peter "Luigi" Reggio made the snap decision to postpone before the start to reset the line.  Luigi's shrewd judgment is one of the reasons excellent racing is always expected for the Rolex Farr 40 World Championship.

1445 - The course for the third and final race of the day has been posted.  Hanging on the back of the signal boat is course 4, bearing 130 degrees at 2.0 nautical miles.  The warning is scheduled for 1455.

1440 - Race 2 Results have been posted.  After 2 races, Alinghi is the early leader with finishes of 6 and 2, totaling 8 points, only one point ahead of Warpath and Ramrod, tied for second with 9 points:

1430 - At the finish, Warpath takes the bullet, followed by Alinghi, Nerone, Estate Master and Sled.  Ramrod, Barking Mad, Goombay Smash, Plenty and Mean Machine round out the top ten.

1425 - As they approach the finish, Warpath still is in the lead followed closely by Alinghi.  The rounding sheet for Race 2 has been updated with the roundings from the Second Windward Mark:

1420 - All of the boats have rounded the weather mark and set their spinnakers for the run to the finish of Race 2.

1410 - Warpath leads the fleet at the last mark.  The wind is lightening a little, which is spreading the fleet out more than in Race 1.

1405 - The entire fleet is through the gate and on its way back up the beat.  Complete Race 2 roundings from Mark 1 and the Gate are available here:

1350 - Nerone leads the fleet at the gate, followed by Warpath, Sled, Alinghi, and Ramrod. 

1345 - As the boats approach the leeward gate the Race Committee has signaled a course change.  The bearing remains the same as before, but the length of the second leg has been shortened to 1.8 nautical miles. 

1330 - The first boats are around the first weather mark in Race 2.  Once all the boats are around, we should be able to get the roundings from the weather mark boat.

1305 - Race 2 is under way.  All boats are clear at the start of race 2.

1259 - One minute to the warning signal for race #2.  The Race Committee has posted Course #4 at a distance of 2.2 nautical miles and a bearing of 130 degrees.

1230 - At the finish of Race 1 of the Rolex Farr 40 Pre-Worlds, Plenty barely won out over Morning Glory and Ramrod.  Complete results should be available soon.  The Race Committee has announced that the next warning will be at 1300.

1220 - The fleet is around the last weather mark and on its way to the finish.  Roundings from the fist two marks for the entire fleet can be found here:

1155 - At the leeward mark, Rod Jabin's Ramrod has taken the lead away and rounded the right side gate.  The next three boats were close behind and rounded the left gate.  Plenty was second around, followed by Morning Glory and Mean Machine.  Opus One moved into fifth place at the leeward mark.

1145 - All boats have rounded the mark and are on the run now.  As the boats approach the leeward mark, the race committee has posted a course change for the next beat.  The new course will be 1.8 nautical miles at a bearing of 130 degrees. 

1140 - Alex Roepers' Plenty leads the fleet at mark 1, followed by Ramrod, Morning Glory, Mean Machine, and Joe Fly. 

1135 - The first boats are around mark 1 and have their spinnakers set.  The Race Committee is recording roundings as they happen.  The rounding order will be posted here shortly.

1110 - The First Race of the Rolex Farr 40 Pre-Worlds has started.  All boats are clear at the start. 

1105 - The Warning signal has been raised.  The course, distance and direction are the same as before.

1055 - The Race Committee is on Station and has announced they will be postponing for 5 Minutes while the pin boat is reset.  The wind is at 10 knots from a bearing of 125 degrees.  Race Committee has posted Course 4 at a distance of 2.2 nautical moles and bearing of 125 degrees.
