Day 2 of the 2008 Rolex Farr 40 World Championship and Mascalzone Latino (ITA) just manages to maintain their position at the top of the standings. Three points behind lie fellow Italians Joe Fly and in third place Barking Mad (USA).

It was Opus One (GER) with Wolfgang Stolz at the helm that won the first race of the day - race 4 of the 10 race championship. Barking Mad and Ramrod (USA) came second and third respectively. Race 5 saw the wind picking up to 10 knots and a dual between Nerone (ITA) and Silver Bullet (DEN) to the finish line. Mean Machine (MON) meant business in Race 6 - the last of the day - leading the fleet round the course from the start to finish.

But the conditions are a little better for us we like more the medium wind compared to yesterday where the wind was at times pretty strong. So we hope to keep the game easy and safe and not to make big mistakes and this philosophy at the end of a long world championship is going to pay.”
