Europe to Sydney

La Spezia – Sydney Freight indication, based on yacht delivered into terminal prelashed to cradle & prelashed onto 40ft flat rack (ends up) by owner in La Spezia for us to take over thereafter to in water Sydney (Port Botany) – ships sail approximately weekly, subject to space availability, with transit approx 31 days.

Import clearance/quarantine – allow aud550*/boat
Tender & attendance (if required) for water discharge, allow aud550*/boat
Transport of cradle to holding yard aud600*/per flat rack
*Gst additional (10%)

- We can try and apply for “event status” with Australian Customs Service, if this helps, may require the F40 association putting up a letter of undertaking that the import boats will be exported otherwise guaranteeing duties/taxes in lieu. (no money up front)
- Otherwise, a carnet (customs clearance document from origin) would be handy (they put up bond in their country to get this document OR
- We can just enter them as temporary imports, with bond for duty (5%) & gst (10%) to Customs with refund on export.

- Would envisage that boats discharge to water on arrival (mast onto deck?), with cradle on flat rack delivered to holding hard (Pyrmont?) for cradle removal per forklift & truck to return empty flat rack to depot thereafter as simplest solution. We can assist with delivery to Harbour if required.

- Quarantine inspection to be done at holding yard on arrival.

- Transit insurance, additional if required per us.

- We can assist with the actual unlashing & lashing on ship in Sydney, with suitable packing to prevent chaffe.
- We can assist with the physical receival of boats to water from ship in Sydney for import & delivery to ship for export (using our/boat’s lifting gear).
